How to convert documents from Word to PDF

How to convert the text format from Word to PDF? This question may well arise from you when you need to send a document to the client by e-mail, create your e-book or manual or send resume to getting the post. If you've been reading my blog, then open the PDF document for you is no longer difficult. You can use the free program "Foxit Reader" and "Adobe Reader". But the issue of establishing such an electronic document from a text document created in Word I have seriously considered.

This procedure was created and successfully used by many programs, free or require a license . For example: "PrimoPDF", "doPDF", "ABBYY PDF Transformer 3.0" , "Solid Converter PDF" and of course the "Adobe Acrobat" . They work differently. Some operate as a standalone program which can make various settings for the final document. Others are built into the system as a virtual printer and create a document when you draw it in a standard way to print, but choose not to physical printer and virtual. The document then saved in a special folder. Usually it is in the folder "My Documents".

So, incidentally, runs a free application installed with Foxit Reader. True on all pages of the document put the image copyright program that we do not need. However, even in Foxit Reader is a useful feature of editing as creating menus for browsing the document.

There are also online services for the conversion to PDF text documents. But in this paper I will consider other basic options for converting text-DOC-files into PDF.

How to convert a document from Word to PDF in OpenOffice 3

One of the easiest ways to turn a document with text and images in pdf format, is to use the free office package OpenOffice , already reviewed on the blog earlier.

To do this you need:

Open the document in the program.
Click on the icon in the menu labeled "PDF"
In the dialog "Export", select the folder to save (the default is the same as the original document), type the file name and click 'Save'

After a short wait to a new pdf document format will be created in the specified folder. It can open, forward and use with the purpose for which it was created. The file is saved with the default settings, which usually cost to get the best results. But if you have a lot of image file, the file get pretty big.

In order to change the situation needed to make conversion a bit differently.

Click on the menu in the "File" and then "Export as PDF ..."
In the General tab, find the section titled "Image"
There adjust settings "JPEG-compression - Quality" and "image resolution. The higher the settings, the better the quality of the document as a result and more of his weight.
Click on "Export" and create PDF_dokument.

In this window you can configure many parameters, including assign a password to open the document (the "Security"). If a document contains external links and links to navigate through the document itself, you need to configure the appropriate settings in the "Links".

In general, it's pretty simple way to convert a text document into an electronic book. Naturally, if you use in your practice, OpenOffice.

How to convert a document from Word to PDF in MS Word 2007

In the default version of Microsoft Office 2007 does not PDF-converter. It was planned, but the company Adobe, owns the rights to the format, has banned its inclusion in the package. Nevertheless, for those wishing to Microsoft's Web site posted a plugin for MS Word 2007: "Microsoft Save AS PDF or XPS" E . It weighs a little less than a megabyte.

To install it you need:

Download it ( file hosting or offsayta on the link above).
Install the plugin, run the downloaded file. Will need to tick a warning and click "Continue".
After the installation is complete, click "OK"

Next, open a document in Word and:

Click on the button "Office" (in the upper left corner)
Click the "Save as ..." and then click "PDF or XPS"
A window will appear on "Publish as PDF or XPS".
In the window, select the target folder name
Enter the file name
Choose a way to optimize the "Standard" or "minimum"
Click "Publish"

If you have not removed the checkbox (tick) the "Open file after publishing", then after processing the file will open in your code reader for viewing PDF-documents.

Everything described is valid for Microsoft Word 2007. For other versions of this program, these plug-ins I have not known.
